Kariega Game Reserve
What makes this malaria- free game reserve special is the fact that you can walk freely and safely amongst the game in the area of the reserve which does not include the Big 5. This 9000 hectares of valley bushveld, fynbos, riverine forest and savannah grasslands is family owned and includes not only the Big 5 but a myriad of species of birdlife such as the fish eagles, martial which nest on the reserve (more than 280 species). It also boasts a variety (more than 25 species) of game which includes the leopard, waterbuck, white rhino, hyena, giraffe, zebra and many more.
Location
Kariega Game Reserve is 141km from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. This reserve incorporates two rivers namely the Kariega and Bushman Rivers.
Ukhozi Lodge
Be lavished by luxury and style in the Ukhozi Lodge. Main Lodge
This lodge consists of a total of 21 spacious log-constructed chalets. Each air-conditioned room has its own en-suite. Be one with nature by viewing nature’s beautiful scenery from private viewing decks. Private pools, an enticing outdoor pool, a pub, a restaurant (where traditional South African cuisines are served) and Satellite TV are available for your enjoyment. Kariega Lodge is ideal for FIT’s, families, groups and incentive groups.
